Employer partnership questions
What is Paid.care for employers?
Paid.care is a program that partners with businesses to support employees who are also family caregivers. We help employers identify “caregiving employees” — those balancing a full-time job with the responsibility of caring for an elderly or disabled loved one — and provide them with training, support, and financial compensation through state-funded programs.
How many employees are typically affected by caregiving responsibilities?
More than you might expect. Our partner data shows nearly 1 in 5 employees carries a second, unpaid caregiving job — and a recent AARP study found over 20% of Americans struggle to balance full-time work with caregiving. The number grows every year as the population ages.
How is the program funded?
Through state programs — primarily Medicaid and Medicaid Waiver programs. Caregiver payments come from these state-funded programs, not from your budget. There is no cost to employers or employees, ever.
In which states is Paid.care available?
Today we support caregiving employees in Indiana — plus Michigan and Illinois. Tennessee, Ohio, and South Dakota are coming soon. If your workforce spans other states, reach out — we can map coverage against your locations.
How do we get started?
One call. We’ll walk through how many of your employees may qualify, set up a discovery session for your workforce, and handle qualification, training, and payments from there. Your HR team’s lift is minimal.
