Frequently asked questions
Indiana caregiver questions
What do you do for caregivers?
Paid.care provides payment, professional training, coaching, and emotional and financial support for families caring for loved ones. We handle the qualification process, paperwork, and payments so you can focus on the care itself.
Who is eligible?
Family members and friends who provide daily care for a loved one enrolled in Medicaid (or eligible for a Medicaid Waiver) can typically qualify. Eligibility varies by state and program — the fastest way to find out is a quick call or our online eligibility check.
What does the program cost?
Nothing — Paid.care is completely free for caregivers, forever. That includes your care coach, training, certification courses, the care app, and care coaching support. The money you earn stays yours.
What happens if I don't have Medicaid or an HCBS waiver?
We help with that too. Our team walks you and your loved one through the Medicaid and waiver application process from start to finish, and points you toward alternative programs (like veteran-directed care) if they fit your situation better.
What areas do you currently serve?
Paid.care serves families in Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois, and we have offices throughout all three states.
What programs do you serve?
In Indiana we serve Structured Family Caregiving, Attendant Care, and Family HHA/CNA. In Michigan we serve Home Help, and in Illinois we serve the Community Care Program and the Home Services Program.
What will training be like?
Plain-English and practical. You’ll get professional training and certification from our expert team — online courses you can take at your own pace, plus onsite training at your home, including CPR and home safety.
